Skills BUILDING
Our Skills Building & Livelihoods programs empower young adults with practical, market-driven skills that lead to economic independence and stronger communities. A flagship example is our sewing program, which provides hands-on training to vulnerable youth, helping them generate income and build confidence. Many of these sessions take place at the Lourie Community Center, a safe and inclusive space where learning meets empowerment.
Through initiatives like Ann Chanje Wout (Finding New Paths) and Jenès an Aksyon (Youth in Action), participants also gain skills in plumbing, electricity, tiling, cooking, and entrepreneurship. In addition to receiving technical instruction, our trainees benefit from mentoring, financial literacy, and psychosocial support. PRODEV's holistic approach promotes resilience, self-sufficiency, and long-term economic opportunity through real-world, community-based learning.
