ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT
We provide child-centered strategies and enriching learning environments where students receive quality education tailored to their needs. In times of natural disasters or social unrest, our remote-learning program ensures continuity by reaching children who cannot attend school or access digital tools. Academic enrichment is also at the core of our educational model. We go beyond the traditional curriculum by offering hands-on, engaging programs that spark curiosity, foster creativity, and build critical thinking skills. Through initiatives in technology, civic engagement, environmental education, and social-emotional development, we equip students not only to succeed academically, but also to thrive in life.

TEACHER TRAINING
In Haiti, where nearly 80% of teachers lack formal training, PRODEV’s Teacher Training Program strengthens national education by equipping educators with the tools they need to deliver child-centered instruction. Through initiatives such as PAPDEF and Mwen Kontan Aprann, we support over 50 schools across the North, West, and South.
Our approach combines academic, operational, and pedagogical training to help teachers and school leaders manage classrooms where children are at the core of the learning process. By building teacher capacity in both rural and urban areas, we promote inclusive, high-quality education. Each training session fosters active learning, classroom management, and emotional support techniques tailored to local realities. This program is essential to improving learning outcomes and supporting long-term educational resilience in Haiti.

SKILLS BUILDING & LIVELIHOODS
Our Skills Building & Livelihoods programs empower young adults with practical, market-driven skills that lead to economic independence and stronger communities. A flagship example is our sewing program, which provides hands-on training to vulnerable women and girls, helping them generate income and build confidence. Many of these sessions take place at the Lourie Community Center, a safe and inclusive space where learning meets empowerment.
Through initiatives like Ann Chanje Wout (Finding New Paths) and Jenès an Aksyon (Youth in Action), participants also gain skills in plumbing, electricity, tiling, cooking, and entrepreneurship. In addition to technical instruction, they benefit from mentoring, financial literacy, and psychosocial support. Our holistic approach promotes resilience, self-sufficiency, and long-term economic opportunity through real-world, community-based learning.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

At PRODEV, student well-being is a fundamental part of our mission. Through programs like Appui à la Santé (Health Support), we partner with health centers in the South and West to provide free medical services to children and pregnant women. Our ECHO 2 project extends psychosocial support across eight schools, providing group therapy, trauma-informed care, and emotional resilience training. We also promote wellness in everyday school life: corporal punishment is prohibited, and age-appropriate sex education focuses on consent and body awareness. The Lourie Community Center gives priority access to students, while school gardens reinforce healthy nutrition.
To address both natural and man-made crises, our curriculum includes trauma-sensitive approaches that protect and empower children. From health to mental well-being, we take a holistic, child-centered approach to help every learner thrive.

Tuition, books and meals are free, and our children walk to school. ENZ helped us save money and gave them a good education.

ANN CHANJE WOUT helped me gain valuable skills as a young person so I can better support my community.
Jean
Participant in the ANN CHANJE WOUT program

My child was having trouble breathing, and I didn’t have much money, but I heard about the program and brought him to the hospital. They took great care of us, provided medication, and ran tests. Now, thanks to God, I can say my child is doing well and breathing normally—the medication really helped. I am very, very grateful for the program.
