Investing in Education for Labadie’s Children
École Nouvelle Royal Caribbean was founded in October 2010 by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to meet the needs of children living in Labadie. Classes ranging from first to ninth grade are fully funded by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, which also covers the costs of ENRC’s students’ secondary education. The school offers instruction in two languages: French and Kreyol.
The school campus includes a library, an arts and crafts room, school administration offices, an infirmary, modern toilets, a school garden, a computer center, a cafeteria, and a sports and recreation area.
With a holistic methodology that integrates social life into education, the school organized a variety of extracurricular activities, including visits to Place Vertières, a rice field, and an amusement park—initiatives that deepen students’ understanding of Haiti’s history while broadening their cultural horizons. In parallel, ENRC conducted parent training sessions focused on children’s wellness, helping families strengthen relationships and foster greater support for their children’s development.
