A SCHOOL BORN FROM HOPE
École Nouvelle Zoranje (ENZ) is a community school founded in October 2010 in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake. It is located in the Village de la Renaissance, where hundreds of families internally displaced by the earthquake had been relocated. The school was built, managed and operated by PRODEV.
ENZ offers instruction from Pre-K through ninth grade on a campus equipped to foster both learning and well-being. The school provides instruction in two languages: French and Kreyol. Its facilities include an administration building, an infirmary, a cafeteria, modern bathrooms, water purification systems, a library, an art room, a computer center, a school garden, a basketball court, and a field for sports and recreation.
Beyond academics, ENZ fosters student growth through extracurricular activities such as Agriculture Day tree planting and interclass competitions that encourage excellence, while also responding to increased enrollment as new families settle in the area seeking
